In that time I've lead a rural congregation through building a church, which included a summer in which several young children died and the community was wracked with grief; a small community through extensive grief; a beachside congregation through a merger with a large cathedral on the mainland; and a diverse congregation in a college town through the pandemic. Is it with much sadness to leave Detroit to accept another call, but Detroit has been there for me from the start and never turned it's back on this minister. Detroit is a City of Redemption and I'm an example of it....grit and all.
